HOMEE: Home Service App/ Website
For my Spring 2020 cooperative experience, I worked at HOMEE, an Information Technology company focused on making home service solutions easily accessible to users. Through their app, HOMEE connects service providers with customers in need of home maintenance for both residential and commercial properties. This platform empowers handymen and service professionals to take control of their businesses, with many benefiting from the valuable connections and opportunities facilitated by the app.
As a Product Design Intern, I participated in marketing meetings to help update the brand’s visual style and modernize application components for both Sketch and Abstract, while also organizing and maintaining design files. I facilitated collaboration between HOMEE and partner companies, creating integration examples to ensure seamless incorporation into the application. I addressed user experience challenges by redesigning components where customers had difficulty navigating the app, and ensuring consistency in the transition of these elements between the mobile app and the website. Additionally, I contributed to both the consumer and provider sides of the app, ensuring alignment between the two, as well as between the front-end and back-end development for the website and app.
